Mar 12, 2009 No matter.I've using live6 on my mac pro 2.66G quadcore for a year.I don't see any problem on it.Mac pro is more than enough for most of software sound source, even NI massive.but one thing I have to notice, you have 12G of ram but you can only use 4G virtual memory for a single program, you know what I mean,do you? Drag the Ableton Live 10 icon onto the Applications folder shortcut. Once it is finished, close the window and eject the installation disk image from your computer. Once it's been fully installed, open the Applications folder in Finder and double click on the Ableton Live 10 application. You can then add it to your Dock for quick access. Oct 25, 2011  Depending on your host application, this could be setup differently, but most of the time, your VST plugins will be on your c: drive in the Program files directory.

.Note that Ableton Live 10+ only supports 64-bit meaning the plug-in path should be set to where this content is located and not the path for 32-bit plug-ins. Hit Rescan or close and reload Live. The plugins will now be present in Live's Plug-Ins area. I forgot how the ableton installer works. Is there an applications folder in the install window that you drag to or does it just ask you to do that manually? It sounds like you're initializing an app that isn't there anymore or is not in the right place perhaps. Ableton resides in HD- Applications - Live 8.2.2 for me.

Plugins Folder Mac Ableton Live Applications Won't Start Video

Hello,
I've tried searching on this topic without much luck, so figured I'd start a new post in hopes that someone might be able to help..Plugins folder mac ableton live applications won
I have historically created all of my Live projects on my iMac, however, I recently got a newer Macbook, so I've been creating solely on that.. I put every plugin / software application onto the laptop that was originally on my iMac desktop - so I figured there would be no issues.
Unfortunately, I went to open a project created a few months ago - on my desktop - and upon loading the project, it says 'The VST Plugin Could Not Be Found' next to a list of a few plugins that ARE on my laptop. Some Waves plugins, Serato Sample, etc etc..
I tried to Re-Scan plugins from within Ableton Live before even opening a project, to see if that would update things, but no luck..
I think that the issue is the plugins have a different file directory path than they did on my desktop, so Live is not finding them.. which leads me to my question -- is there ANY way to relocated the plugins without losing my settings??? The pop-up box reporting the missing plugins does NOT give the option to locate these 'missing' plugins.. although, again, they are on my laptop.Plugins Folder Mac Ableton Live Applications Won
I know that I could just re-load the plugins in question, but patch selections / presets are lost if I do this. Further, on Serato Sample, I have to re-load the samples I had chosen (not to mention their key, the same slice settings, etc..) which is impossible.

You would think that this would be a common issue and/or easily rectified, but I can't seem to find any solutions.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
